The Thermo Plug is a small, versatile board with room for one of three types of temperature sensors, and either a buzzer or a transistor driver for a modest load such as relay, small motor, or light.

The different temperature sensor options support various temperature ranges and accuracies:

• an NTC resistor (use a glass type for higher temps)
• a DS18B20 1-wire temperature sensor (up to 125°C)
• a K-type thermocouple with an on-board AD597 chip

The Pre-assembled w/ sensor version comes with the AD597 chip already soldered on. The kit contains the other discrete components to select from and solder to the board.  Includes K-type thermocouple with 1-meter leads which can be used up to 350 °C and a board-mounted buzzer. Does not include NTC resistor or DS18B20 sensor.

The PCB only variant contains just the board for the Thermo Plug. No parts, no headers.

As connectors you can use a set with 10 male and 10 female 6-pin headers, which makes it easy to connect multiple plugs and JeeNodes in a “standard” way. Or you can solder the board directly in place for more permanent use.
